“Schneider Foundation Challenge”
(Contributor: Vickie Tuttle)
As was mentioned at the Band Awards last week, we were briefed on the Schneider Challenge and the generous anonymous donor matching program which will work similar to last year’s event. This year we have the Schneider Foundation 2nd Annual Challenge to match up to $5,000 in donations—the donor will contribute equal to your donation. Please contact Vickie Tuttle at tuttle84@comcast.net for additional information or where to donate. More information will be available at the Dec. 13 concert.

Tree Lot Fund Raising Update
(Contributor: Vickie Tuttle, Jesse Seeley)
If you are scheduled to work a shift or two at the tree lot as a fund raiser toward your account, it should be noted that there needs to be an adult volunteer on your shift as well. If you are not sure or need more information, please contact Mr. Urbani immediately. Please contact the Urbani's for details or for additional information concerning this gig—send to both of these addresses to make sure it gets to him in a timely manner: curbani@cityofsalem.net or urbanic@open.org

Winter Ensemble—Update: Get ready to roll
(Contributor: Jesse Seeley)
Or should we say “drum roll”? J This weekend is the first of the camps to rehearse for this year’s show. If you still want to join in the fun, just show up to the first rehearsal if you have not already signed up. If you have any questions regarding this year’s Winter Ensemble please contact Mr. Griffiths or Alan Keown directly (GRIFFITHS_BRIAN@salkeiz.k12.or.us or alankeown@comcast.net, respectively). Details of first rehearsal:

When: Saturday, Dec. 15
Times: 0900 to 2100 (or 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
Where: WSHS Commons
Items due: With the exception of the extras appearing in the show, initial dues/fair share of $100 (Check payable to WSHS Band Boosters, or contact Vickie Tuttle)

Notes: Bring snacks, lunch, etc. More details on the day’s schedule to follow at the briefing at the beginning of rehearsal

As an additional note, we can use a few more volunteers to start assembling the props. We’ll start that around the same time as the rehearsal, but probably more in earnest around 10:00 a.m.
